DRAKIZIANSEVOLUTION OF LIFE

BUILDING THE FIRST FIRE

Vision, tested one small step at a time.

The next delivery goal is a playable Stone Age release for Windows, targeting solo and co-op play with tested updates afterward. People, generations, settlements and civilisation remain later roadmap stages.

Approximate scope assessment for the full roadmap. The first Stone Age release has a separate readiness checklist and no announced percentage or launch date.

LATEST VERIFIED STATE

Local release build advances.

All 29 automated prototype checks pass. The latest Windows Development game executable starts from a separate, hash-verified private installation, loads the clearing and renders before a normal exit. Original fine water normals now join terrain, stone, bark and canopy refinements, with water-kind colors, interaction bounds and collision retained. Local release-build work has verified 300 compiler actions and 903 exact build products. A distributable Shipping game remains open. Source preparation for the next Slate dependency group has passed local and independent source review. An administrative startup check stopped the planned local AI exercise before any SDK attempt; no AI answer or improvement was measured. No broader first-attempt improvement or model-weight change is claimed; the next release-build step remains pending. Private checks also cover solo pause, local co-op settings, save/backup fixtures, safe loading, save-and-quit, audio lifecycle and content cooking. Manual play confirmed sharp graphics, First Camp, all four fishing methods, eating and F5/F9 saved-position restore. Physical controller and listening, moving-scene performance, clean installation and remote co-op remain open. The scenery remains prototype art.

NOW

First Stone Age release

Release preparation now has a playable starter clearing, guidance, menus, pause/settings, original audio and tested save fixtures. Remaining work includes cohesive Stone Age content, realistic art, physical controls/audio, an installable Windows game, remote co-op, update handling and external playtesting. Realistic terrain, materials, water, vegetation and lighting remain the intended visual direction.

AFTER THE FIRST RELEASE

People and legacy

NPC agency, trust, relationships, family, ageing, inheritance and cultural knowledge remain roadmap work.

LATER

Settlement and beyond

Jobs, ownership, agriculture, economy, multiple settlements, regional systems and world convergence.

FULL GAME VISION · EARLIER PLANNING SCENARIO

2029–2031

First Stone Age release: date not announced.

This earlier scenario concerns the full game vision and assumes average progress of 0.4–0.7 percentage points per week. With about 93 points remaining, that means roughly 133–233 weeks from October 2026.

The pace is a planning assumption. The new priority is a playable Stone Age release followed by tested updates; this scenario does not predict that first launch. Later people, generation, settlement and world systems require substantial design, art and testing, so the broader window will be reviewed as those phases take shape.

How the estimate is calculated

The public progress estimate moved from about 5% on 23 September to about 6% on 30 September, then about 7% on 2 October 2026 after finite fire fuel, an enterable shelter and food placement were implemented. These rounded scope assessments do not establish a sustained production rate. The scenario above assumes a slower average pace for the larger systems ahead.

Usage allowances influence available development sessions. They have no fixed conversion to finished gameplay, so the forecast assumes similar future capacity rather than deriving a date directly from a quota percentage.

Calculation: 93 remaining percentage points ÷ 0.7 to 0.4 per week ≈ 133–233 weeks. Progress itself is an approximate scope assessment, so this window carries substantial uncertainty.
